This is the moment a brazen man appears to walk out of a brand of Greggs with handfuls of food and drinks allegedly without paying.

A clip, filmed inside a store in Archway, north London, on April 19 by a shocked customer, shows a man with three sandwiches in his hand standing in front of the fridges. Clad in black Adidas tracksuit bottoms, a black body warmer and a blue T-shirt, he then appears to open another door where cold beverages are stored.

He seems to be picking up two bottles of orange juice before walking out of the door. As the incident unfolds, another man can be seen waiting at the counter. The customer who filmed the 27-second video on his mobile phone said: "F*****g hell. Stealing, stealing." The Metropolitan Police confirmed the alleged theft was reported to them but said no arrests have been made.

Angry local Duncan Gray said: "Hope it chokes him, thieving scum." Dominic Kevill fumed: "Why not chin him instead of filming?" Another added: "If you are having to steal from Gregg's, you have definitely made some bad life choices somewhere along the line." One - called Charles - said: "Stealing From Greggs? What the f**k."

A Met Police spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we received a third party report of theft of food from a commercial premises at Junction Road, N19 on Friday, 19 April. There have been no arrests." The Mirror has contacted Greggs for comment.

Back in 2018, a man filled a bag full of food and drinks from a Greggs bakery as a shop attendant tried to stop him. A viral clip showed the man filling a giant carrier bag with drinks from one of the chain's London stores as shocked bystanders watched on to take pictures.

The shop attendant held onto the man's jumper to try and keep him in the store as she called the police, but she eventually released her grip when he shouted at her to let him go and pushed her by the neck. The man then fled with his stash of bakery goods.

Mobile phone footage of the incident went viral and caused a stir on social media. The Met Police arrested a man on suspicion of theft. Greggs said at the time of the incident: "No one was harmed during the incident and the store resumed a normal service straight away."
