People across the world have jumped on the tortilla wrap bandwagon, from as far as Japan to America.

If you've not heard of it, it's an absolute game-changer, revolutionising the way we fold our sandwich wraps.

The tasty trick is so simple, you'll wonder why we haven't been doing it for years.

The foolproof kitchen hack can be enjoyed with a savoury or sweet filling, plus it's super scrumptious as a breakfast bite.

SurreyLive foodie Laura Nightingale gave the tortilla trend a try with a full English recipe and it is must-try.

Breakfast tortilla (serves 1)

Ingredients:

  • 1 tortilla wrap.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 2 bacon rashers.
  • 1-2 tbsp chopped tomatoes.
  • 1-2 tbsp grated cheese.

Method:

  1. Scramble the eggs and cook the bacon.
  2. Cut a wrap halfway up from the bottom.
  3. Fill each quarter with eggs, bacon, cheese and tomatoes.
  4. Fold the wrap up (watch the video to see how).
  5. Fry the wrap in a dry, hot pan until golden on each side or pop in a toaster or use a sandwich press.
  6. Tuck in.
