Craveworthy acquires 2nd dessert concept

Two weeks after announcing that it acquired Big Chicken, Craveworthy Brands has purchased Kinnamōns, a cinnamon roll concept, based in Oregon and founded by entrepreneur and Super Bowl Champion Ndamukong Suh. Craveworthy acquired its first dessert concept, Dirty Dough, last year.

Using locally sourced ingredients, glazes and seasonal ingredients, Kinnamōns offers hand-crafted bun baked fresh with indulgent flavor profiles like Caramel Apple Pie, Maple Bacon and Cookies and Cream. The Bakery also offers freshly brewed espresso and flavored coffees to complement its indulgent treats.

The brand's name is initially derived from "kinámōmon," the Greek word for cinnamon, reflecting its connection to the rich history of the beloved spice.

"Cinnamon rolls evoke a sense of comfort, nostalgia and indulgence, and the baking segment is seeing incredible potential with demand for gourmet, handcrafted innovations like Kinnamōns," Gregg Majewski, CEO and founder of Craveworthy, said in a company press release. "At Craveworthy, we search high and low for brands that truly stand out and fill a niche gap in the quick-service industry, while holding the unique ability to scale without losing authenticity of its origins."

With multiple locations in Oregon and a strong foundation in culinary excellence, Kinnamōns is set to scale nationally through a franchise program.

Craveworthy Brands also owns Bd's Mongolian Grill, Dirty Dough, Fresh Brothers Pizza, Flat Top Grill, Genghis Grill, Krafted Burger Bar + Tap, Lucky Cat Poke Co., Nomad Dawgs, Pastizza Pizza & Pasta, Scramblin' Ed's, Sigri Indian BBQ, Soom Soom Mediterranean, The Budlong Southern Chicken and Wing It On.
