Nestlé USA has issued a recall of select Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals due to the potential presence of “wood-like material.”

The food brand released the recall on Monday, March 17, and listed the four affected products: Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry and Stouffer’s Party Size Chicken Lasagna.

Per the release, the recall comes after consumers contacted Nestlé USA about the issue, one of which was a “potential choking incident.”

The recalled items were produced between August 2024 and March 2025 and were distributed at major retailers across the country from September 2024 to March 2025. The affected products have best-by dates ranging from September 2025 to March 2026 and the specific batch numbers can be found on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) website.
