Back in 2018, food giant Unilever purchased The Vegetarian Butcher, a Dutch plant-based meat brand. Later this year, it will go on sale for the first time at high-end restaurants and bakeries, including California’s three-Michelin starred SingleThread. “As the only technology with the potential to replace palm oil and other widely used fats with a very low-carbon equivalent within the next decade, Savor is positioned to make a substantial impact on global sustainability efforts in the food industry,” Kathleen Alexander, Savor CEO, said in a statement.
