As Hindu devotees around the world are observing Chaitra Navratri, the nutritionist took to her Instagram to share a sample meal plan that includes breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, dinner, and evening snack options.

Taking to her Instagram, Rujuta Diwekar shared a sample meal plan that is perfect for those who are observing a fast for Chaitra Navratri. She wrote, “A celebration of the change in season, an infusion of millets, pulses, spices and nuts. A time-tested practice of the Indian kitchens to welcome the summers with a light stomach and without breaking into a sweat."

    3-4 soaked black raisins with 1-2 strands of kesar and 3-4 soaked almonds

    Breakfast

    Rajgira thalipeeth or roti with dahi

    Chaas with ginger, boiled and roasted sweet potato

      Chaitra Navratri is a nine-day festival that is dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine forms. Devotees observe fasts to purify their body and mind.
