“We have been taking part in this exhibition as one of the sponsors for the third successive year and we continue to see the growth of participants and visitors from so many different countries, which is impressing and encouraging at the same time,” said Fadhel Ben Khalifa, Purchasing Manager, Haidari Trading.

He added: “The number of visitors and exhibitors also continue to increase which clearly shows the growth in interest in hospitality market in the country. The exhibition is the ideal platform for our range of products of the highest quality fresh fruits and vegetables imported from all over the world.”

It is great to be part of this event which has been attracting more interests from visitors to explore locally-manufactured products.”

Not only did the event witness growth in numbers but also in events and offerings which have evolved in response to the demand of the times.

A first in the annual event was ‘Future of Tourism in Qatar’ conference, organised in cooperation with the National Tourism Council as a strategic platform to discuss the most important opportunities, developments and challenges within Qatar’s tourism sector, as well as strategies, technologies and innovations to keep abreast of developments in the market.

Among the foci of the inaugural tourism conference were Qatar’s tourism sector’s futuristic developments and the Qatar National Tourism Sector Strategy 2018-2023, securing and delivering culinary excellence, and designing visitor experience by providing innovative services and modern facilities. Exciting competitions which have been a regular feature of the event including Salon Culinaire, Barista and Mocktail competitions also drew increased participation from the best chefs and baristas of leading hotels and restaurants in the country.
