Angola/South Africa visa suppression deal in force in December

Luena, ANGOLA, November 7 - The visa suppression agreement for ordinary passports between Angola and South Africa will come into force in the first half of December this year. ,

The information was released Monday in Luena, eastern Moxico province, by the South African ambassador to Angola, Faninie Mfana Phacola.

The South African ambassador was speaking to the press during a three-day working visit to Moxico at the invitation of the provincial governor, Gonçalves Muandumba.

The diplomat said that his visit to Moxico aims at surveying areas of investment and cooperation, stressing that his country has made all arrangements for visa suppression between the two states.

He assured that his country is available to invest mainly in the sectors of trade, agriculture, water and health, mining, forestry, fisheries and education.

Faninie Phacola stated that, at the initiative of the South African embassy and seeking to boost investments from both countries, a Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been created, involving 30 companies.  The chamber will be presented on 16 November.

During his stay in the province, the South African ambassador has scheduled meetings with power and water officials, representatives of associations of young entrepreneurs, of industries, agriculture, hotels and tourism, geology and mining.

The programme includes visits to Peace Monument  cultural complex and the Tchiumbue mini-dam at Dala municipality, and the rock crushing plant located on the Cassai river banks.
